At Taashki, we have big dreams of changing the world. So from the very get-go, we knew we had to do something to make an impact everyday. You know us - we're a small, indie label. But we realized that if we jumped into bed with the big guys and held our own, we would be able to reach and help more people with our work.

You read about the Designer and the Doctor. You read about how their unique take on fashion and philanthrophy and how they didn't just want to make handbags. They wanted to use those handbags to inspire women to look inside themselves AND want to change healthcare. So each year, they nominate a charity and offer to donate a portion of the proceeds from their handbag sales to a charity that helps provide pro bono mental healthcare. The jury is still out on the 2011 charity, but we're hoping the organization we've contacted will be just as excited as we are. We'll keep you posted.
